Leadership Structure
The following is a summary of the leadership structure for our chapter:
The chapter board will consist of two officer positions:
President - one year term (must be a professional member)
President Elect - one year term (must be a professional member)
There are five director positions to be filled by Professional, Allied or Industry partner members. Each director oversees certain functions and committees of the chapter.
Communications Director (two-year term)
Financial Director (two-year term)
Professional Development Director (two-year term)
Membership Director (one-year term) **
At-Large Board member (one-year term) **
Although these positions may be filled by members from any category, we are required to have at least one Industry Partner member on the board.
** For FY 2006 only, the membership director and at large board member of the first elected boards of the new chapter model will serve one-year terms. In the future, all director positions will be two-year terms.
There will also be a Student Representative to the board who will serve a one-year term. They will be selected by the current board at the Spring board meeting.
The past president will no longer be a board member but will serve as the chair of the nominating committee.
All language regarding associations has been eliminated, leaving these regional groups to be better managed by the chapter, able to meet and hold chapter programs without bureaucracy and open to other geographical service areas.
