Introducing Our Industry Partners
IP Members Clay & Lynn Johnston
Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Southern Virginia
Clay & Lynn Johnston are the owners of Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Southern Virginia with 3 operations located in Richmond, Roanoke and Charlottesville serving 35 counties throughout central and southern Virginia. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives specializes in lighting the architectural features of homes, landscapes, outdoor living spaces and interesting commercial businesses. OLP serves residential homeowners and business owners who invest in outdoor lighting for two primary reasons: to accent their homes, landscape and business establishments for nighttime enjoyment and for safety and security.
The Johnston’s run a first class operation offering an exclusive line of high quality lighting products, the best warranty in the industry and a unique approach to designing outdoor lighting systems. They offer a free, no obligation, design demonstration where an entire lighting system is temporarily set up so the homeowners and business owners can see first hand how their property will look before purchasing a system. "This provides us the opportunity to customize the system to the customers’ taste in lighting and virtually eliminate the possibility of any surprises when we install the system" said Clay. "As a business owner, the worst thing that can happen to me is to have a customer call and say; this isn’t exactly what we expected". "We do the job right the first time and the customer doesn’t pay us a dime until they are 100% happy with the effect that we have created".
Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Southern VA has received several awards for their design and quality service. They were chosen to light the Blacksburg Virginia "Extreme Home Makeover" home for ABC’s reality show which airs on Sunday evenings and also were selected to illuminate the Patrick Henry National Memorial in Brookneal during a recent renovation. The Johnston’s have designed and installed systems illuminating some of the more prestigious homes in the State of Virginia and work with many top builders, architects, landscape architects and landscapers as well as several ASID members throughout the State of Virginia.
In their spare time, Clay and Lynn enjoy spending time boating and relaxing on Smith Mountain lake, music - particularly Jimmy Buffet, golf, sports in general and just being outdoors. Both Clay and Lynn being originally from Philadelphia are avid fans of the Philadelphia Eagles traveling up to Philadelphia on Sundays in the fall to cheer on their favorite team.

Bryan Mueller, IP Member, The Closet Factory
Bryan comes to us via Baltimore, where he was born and raised. He served in the US Air Force, stationed at Langley AFB, and attended the Commonwealth College of Virginia, where he received an Associates Degree in Electronics. In 1987, he joined NCR providing computer support to a large variety of customers from DC to Northern Virginia. NCR brought Bryan to Richmond in 1993 to manage the Central Virginia Region.
By 1999 Bryan was looking for a change and came across the Closet Factory opportunity. On March 9th 1999 Bryan and his wife Teresa jumped in feet first to running their own business. Scared to death they put everything they had into the 4 employee, 2,600 sq. ft. business. Now almost eight years later they have grown to over 35 employees in a 12,000 sq. ft. building and are one of the top 10 markets in the Closet Factory franchise.
The Closet Factory custom designs and installs storage solutions for the Greater Richmond and surrounding areas. You can contact Bryan at:
